These days, the beauty business is booming and the market is bursting with several beauty products, all claiming to make your skin smooth and blemish-free. However, most of these are chemical formulations whose results may not be very satisfactory for many people. Many others are also apprehensive about these products. After exploring new methods and experimenting with so many beauty products, teenagers and adults alike admit that home treatment for acne and other minor skin problems is almost always effective. Over the ages, our grandmas have credited their healthy skin to household remedies. There are many tried and tested methods of home treatment for acne.

Firstly, hydration is the simplest way to keep the skin glowing and healthy. Remember to wash the face twice a day with lukewarm water especially if you are very exposed to outside pollutants. This cleans up the clogged skin pores. Also, drink at least a liter of water daily to freshen up your skin cells and increase skin softness. Next, consume plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. Let you skin breathe- don’t shy away from the sun for fear of tanning. Exposing your skin to the sun kills a lot of bacteria that contribute to acne. This is the best way of cleaning up your system and keeping the skin healthy from the inside.

Raid the kitchen and bathroom! There are plenty of household items with which you can make face packs to apply on your skin to cleanse the skin. Leave on egg yolk for about 15 minutes and wash to get radiant skin. Prepare an oatmeal mask and apply all over face for a few minutes and wash. Tea tree oil is a foolproof method to get rid of unsightly blemishes. Apply a spot of toothpaste and keep it overnight on the troublesome area and wake up to find that the pimples have nearly disappeared! Drink green tea to reduce the activity of hormones which might lead to skin eruptions. A mud face pack with rosewater can do wonders for tired skin. To reduce swelling pimples, use the juice of a raw papaya.

Exercise! Leading an active, balanced lifestyle leads to good health and consequently, good skin. Stress and fatigue could also contribute to skin problems. Have adequate rest; don’t miss out on your daily sleep requirement. Thus, home treatment for acne is a sure fire way of keeping your skin looking younger
