Always aim for Universal Health Care
A health coverage program which is extended to all the citizens of a governmental region along with the permanent residents, universal health care program vary greatly in terms of their funding mechanism and structure, with regards to the degree in which they are funded publicly. All the costs entailed in providing the health care are either covered by taxation or by health insurance or may be by a combination of both. Just like the procedure involved in the enactment of legislations, regulations and mandates the universal health care system also requires the involvement of governmental proceedings for approval.
The broad concept of universal health care can be implemented in many ways with the most common denominator being the action of government which is aimed at generating an access to health care for all citizens while many other countries use regulations, legislations and taxation for the implementation of universal health care program. To whom and in what basis should the health care program is to be distributed is directed by the government’s legislation and regulations where some of the health related costs are borne by the patients themselves but it is subsidized through taxation and other compensations provided to the patients by the government.
