March 27th, 2008 -- Posted in Health Insurance, Health Reviews | 1 Comment »The insurance which pays for the medical expenses of a person is generally called health insurance; it may also include custodial care needs, long term nursing or insurance for covering some type of disability of a person. Any one can take a health insurance from either a private insurance company or from social insurance companies which are sponsored by the government, generally it can be purchased in terms of groups like an employer purchasing for his employees or by an individual consumer for his own health. The procedure involved includes payment of premiums for covering the unexpected expenses arising due to health issues. These kinds of benefits are also provided by the government through their social welfare programs.
By a specific calculation of a monthly or annual tax or premium which forms the routine finance structure, it is calculated after the estimation of overall risk and other health care expenses attached to it. Binding as a contract between the insurance company and the insurer, the health insurance policy, can be renewed either on a monthly or on an annual basis, here the recurring amount paid by the policy holder to the insurance company is termed as premium to purchase health coverage.
